Skylar Thompson Tosses Pick In NFL Debut
2 years agoMiami Dolphins rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson made his NFL debut in Week 5, filling in for injured signal-callers Tua Tagovailoa (head) and Teddy Bridgewater (head). Thompson finished the day 19-for-33 with 166 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. His final stat line also included two sacks and one lost fumble. Overall, Thompson failed to live up to the hype that surrounded him during his impressive preseason run. However, he should continue to develop and improve with more experience and practice reps. If Thompson is forced to make his first career start in Week 6, he will fall into the mid-to-high QB3 range.
