Skylar Thompson, Mike White To Battle For Backup QB Job

Miami Dolphins quarterbacks Skylar Thompson and Mike White are expected to have an open competition for the backup job behind Tua Tagovailoa in training camp and the preseason. Due to injuries to Tagovailoa, Thompson played in seven regular season games (two starts) for the Dolphins in his rookie year and went 60-for-105 (57.1 completion percentage) for 534 passing yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. White probably has the edge after signing a two-year, $8 million deal in free agency. The 28-year-old played in eight games (seven starts) the last two years for the Jets and completed 62.2% of his 307 pass attempts for 2,145 yards, eight TDs and 12 interceptions.
