3 years agoMiami Marlins top pitching prospect Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, according to sources. The hope is that the 22-year-old will be ready for spring training in 2022. Sanchez was shut down before the season started, and reports say there was a slight tear in his shoulder, but rest and rehab was recommended over surgery. That plan clearly did not work, and now Sanchez will need to go under the knife. It's a lost season for Sanchez, who flashed some of his upside in 39 big league innings in 2020. He's still worth holding onto in keeper and dynasty leagues, but he's built up quite a few question marks this season.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
