Sixto Sanchez Behind Schedule

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Sixto Sanchez is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Thursday. The young fireballer is behind schedule after a false positive COVID-19 test delayed his start at spring camp. The Marlins won't officially need a fifth starting pitcher until the third time through the rotation once the regular season starts, so there's a chance Sixto begins the season with an IL stint and makes his 2021 debut in mid-April. He'll be on an innings limit for sure, so a delayed start and an early finish are almost inevitable.
