Should You Roster Ricky Stenhouse Jr. In DFS This Weekend At Sonoma?
6 months agoRicky Stenhouse Jr. will start from P33 in Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Always the wild card, Ricky Stenhouse is an unpredictable driver who often finds his way into the DraftKings optimal lineup when you least expect it. With this said, one style of track that he has not been able to surprise people on is road courses. In his 37 Cup starts on road courses, the 36-year-old has an average finish of 22.1 and just one top-10. His average results at this track are even worse, as he has just two top-20s in 10 starts, averaging 25.5 for his finish. Although we would typically recommend fading a driver who underperforms as drastically and consistently as Stenhouse does on road courses, his $5,500 DraftKings salary does keep him in play for Sunday's race. While this does not mean that you should go overweight on the No. 47, his low salary on a starting position that offers tremendous place differential upside does make him a cash-saving option, a driver worth taking a dart throw in DFS this weekend.
