Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani hit a homer and a triple en route to going two-for-four at the plate with two walks in the Dodgers' 11-9 extra innings loss to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. The homer was Ohtani's 29th on the season as he increased his OPS to 1.037 on the season while also recording two RBI and three runs. With the plethora of injuries that the Dodgers have faced during the first half of the season, the lefty's prominence at the plate has helped to keep them well in front of the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL West. Ohtani's case to win NL MVP as just a DH keeps growing by the day. He'll get another chance to keep his stellar season going against Tigers scheduled starter Beau Brieske, who looks to be the opener for a Tigers bullpen game on Sunday.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani stayed hot on Friday, going 3-for-6 with a homer and two doubles in a 14-11 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ohtani scored in the first frame, drove in one in the second, and then smashed a go-ahead three-run bomb in the ninth. The three-time MVP has been on fire lately, going 20-for-46 with six homers, 12 RBI, and five steals since April 26. That brings his season-long numbers up to a .304 AVG, 43 runs, 12 homers, 20 RBI, and 10 steals. Those who were worried about Ohtani in late April probably feel a little silly now, as he is once again performing like one of the best players in baseball, both in real life and in fantasy.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani continued his solid offensive season in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Marlins. Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run, two RBI, and two strikeouts. The 30-year-old obliterated a sixth-inning Anthony Veneziano breaking pitch, launching it into the second deck in right field to tie the game. Ohtani has homered in back-to-back games and has 10 on the season to go with a .296/.399/.607 slash line, 38 runs scored, 15 RBI, and 10 stolen bases in 158 plate appearances. He has continued to be one of fantasy's best hitters.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani connected on his ninth home run of the season on Monday night against the Marlins. He went 1-for-4 with his two-run home run in the fifth inning and also had a walk and a stolen base before scoring on Freddie Freeman's home run in the third. After his record-setting season with 54 home runs and 59 stolen bases last year, Ohtani now has nine home runs and 10 stolen bases through his first 33 games this year, just slightly below last year's pace. He is hitting .292 with a .420 wOBA and continues to be one of the best players in all of fantasy baseball.--Zach Thompson - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani went 3-for-4 with a home run and a walk during their victory over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday evening. Ohtani would launch his eighth home run of the campaign in the third inning off Atlanta right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach. The reigning NL MVP has begun to see his offensive production increase over the past week. In his last seven games, the 30-year-old has posted an impressive .407/.529/.889 slash line with three doubles, two triples, two long balls, and four stolen bases. Prior to this stretch, Ohtani held a .260/.355/.479 through his first 24 games of the season. Ohtani has generated an elite .451 xwOBA, which suggests he should continue to see his offensive production climb throughout the summer. He will look to continue this impressive stretch on Sunday against Atlanta right-hander Bryce Elder.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
