Shohei Ohtani Leaves Tuesday's Start With A Blister
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (finger) pitched five innings on Tuesday against the San Diego Padres but was lifted after throwing just 88 pitches and came off the mound with the trainer. He stayed in the game as the DH, but according to Sam Blum of The Athletic, the superstar is suffering from a blister on his middle finger. Ohtani is the AL MVP favorite right now, as he's slashing .300/.387/.658 with 31 home runs and owns a 3.32 ERA with 132 punchouts. Clearly, the 28-year-old can still hit, but fantasy managers should stay updated about his status as a starting pitcher.
