Shohei Ohtani Goes Deep Wednesday
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-3, with a solo home run, in the Angels 7-4 loss to the Rangers on Wednesday. One day after tossing four shutout innings, Ohtani smacked a slider deep into the seats for his fifth home run of the season. When Ohtani signed with the Angels, these are the types of performances that had fantasy teams salivating. On the mound, Ohtani is posting a 1.02 ERA and holding opponents to a .103 batting average. At the dish, he is slashing .310/.355/.690 with two triples, three doubles and five home runs. Ohtani may not pitch until the end of the week but his bat is a must-start in DFS lineups over the next handful of games.
