Shin-Soo Choo Undergoes Shoulder Surgery
5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo (shoulder) underwent a minor surgery -- an AC joint debridement -- on his shoulder that is expected to keep him out for six to eight weeks. "It’s a relatively minor procedure with a timeline our medical staff believes will allow him to have a normal offseason. We expect he’ll be 100% before spring training," general manager Jon Daniels said. Choo was extremely productive in 2019, hitting .265/.371/.455 with a career-high 24 home runs in 151 games. He's set to make $20 million in 2020, the last year of his deal with Texas. Choo will likely be the primary designated hitter and still is fantasy relevant at this stage of his career, most notably in leagues that count on-base percentage.
