Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Shea Theodore (illness) has agreed to a seven-year extension. He has signed a deal that's worth $51.9 million and carries an average annual value of $7.425 million. The contract starts next year when Theodore's current deal expires. As of right now, he's the third most expensive defenseman on the team with a $5.2 million cap hit. Despite his positioning on the salary list, Theodore has finished as Vegas' highest-scoring blue-liner several times. The 29-year-old has opened the 2024-25 campaign with seven points (one goal, six assists) in six games. Theodore is expected to return to the lineup on Friday versus Ottawa following a bout with an illness.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
