1 year agoTampa Bay Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan (back) threw a short bullpen on Sunday, according to MLB.com, after playing catch on Saturday. The young ace was forced to exit his last start on Thursday with back tightness, but he has yet to hit the injured list and hopes to make his next start. McClanahan has been lights out this season over 16 games, posting an 11-1 record with a 2.23 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 26.7% strikeout rate. Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for more updates, but expect the 26-year-old to pitch on Friday against the Seattle Mariners, barring any setbacks.--Spencer Seguin
