Shane Greene Blows Save Sunday
7 years agoDetroit Tigers reliever Shane Green took the ball with a two-run lead in the ninth inning of Sunday's game following a one-hit effort from starter Francisco Liriano, but ultimately coughed up two runs to blow the save opportunity and send the game into extras. The Tigers eventually fell in 11 innings to the Mariners following Greene's third blown save of the season. Greene has been shaky all season long and now owns a 4.22 ERA on the season at the back of the Tigers 'pen.
