Shane Bieber Loses Despite a Quality Start
5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Shane Bieber put together a quality start on Friday, but it wasn't enough for him to avoid a loss. Bieber tossed 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on six hits. He didn't give up a walk and struck out nine. Bieber actually started the seventh inning with a shutout going, but the Rays were able to plate three runs against his line in the seventh while he only recorded one out. His record dropped to 12-7 and his ERA shifted to 3.27.
