Seung Hwan Oh Melts Down
6 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Seung Hwan Oh watched it all fall apart on Sunday after he already had two outs in the eighth inning while being spotted a two-run lead. He'd given up a single, but otherwise, it looked like he had it all under control. A second single wasn't ideal, but still, no big deal. Unfortunately, Josh Donaldson then drilled a 1-1 pitch into the seats in right, and Oh went from recording a comfortable hold to the loss. Oh has been one of the more dependable relievers in Colorado's bullpen so far, but that says a lot more about the state of their bullpen than his personal performance. Oh has yet to go three straight outings without allowing a run, and he's currently just another one of the snakebit members of that bullpen. There are much better short relief options on the waiver wire in most leagues that count holds, and owners should avoid him for the foreseeable future.
