Seth Lugo Has Small Fracture On Toe
5 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Seth Lugo (toe) has a small fracture on his left pinkie toe, but it's "no major concern," according to manager Luis Rojas. Lugo will take around three days off from throwing. It looks like this isn't an injury that will keep the 30-year-old out for the start of the regular season. Lugo has produced ERAs under 3.00 each of the last two years, but he's made just five starts in that span and none in 2019. He's a valuable swing man for the Mets if injuries open up any spots in their rotation. Despite his career-high 11.7 K/9 last season, Lugo won't have value in mixed leagues unless he's making starts. Otherwise, he's just valuable depth in NL-only leagues.
