Sergio Romo Picks Up Easy Save
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays closer Sergio Romo pitched a clean inning Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers to pick up his 11th save of the season. Romo struck out two in the 4-2 victory. The 35-year-old has been used in many roles this season but has settled in as the closer for manager Kevin Cash lately. His time as an "opener" this season could also have given him extra position eligibility depending on your league's settings. The Rays are winning more games lately and Romo is the one closing them all out. He is a trade candidate, but continue to use him while he is picking up saves.
