Sergio Romo Has Minor Shoulder Strain
5 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Sergio Romo (shoulder) will be limited in camp the next few days with "the most minor of minor left shoulder strains," according to manager Rocco Baldelli. Romo should be back on the field soon. The veteran reliever had a 3.43 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 20 saves and 60 strikeouts in 60 1/3 innings for the Marlins and Twins in 65 relief outings in 2019. Seventeen of those 20 saves came with the Marlins, however, and Romo should be the primary setup man to closer Taylor Rogers this season. That makes the 36-year-old (37 in March) mostly just a handcuff for those that draft Rogers.
