Seranthony Dominguez Records First Career Save
7 years agoWith the Philadelphia Phillies evidently having put the closer role up for grabs, another reliever got his chance on Saturday. Seranthony Dominguez, the right-handed rookie, picked up the save in St. Louis, tossing a pair of shutout innings while recording two strikeouts along the way. The 24-year-old has yet to concede a hit since his promotion three weeks ago, making six appearances, tossing 6 2/3 innings and striking out seven. Additionally, he’s yet to walk a batter, quickly making a case for best reliever in the club’s bullpen. Following this first save, he could be the frontrunner to win the job outright.
