Sean Newcomb Has Very Ineffective Outing In Loss To Nats
7 years agoIt definitely wasn't Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Sean Newcomb's night. He only lasted 4 1/3 innings and gave up five runs, including a three-run bomb to Bryce Harper that might still be traveling if it hadn't been hit in a stadium. Maybe someone insulted Harper again. Newcomb was wild, issuing four walks. So was there anything positive to take from this game? He did strike out six, so there's that. The Nats are a tough team, so you might want to see how he does against the Rockies his next time out. That game will be in Colorado, though, so you'll want to avoid Newcomb for that one.
