Sean Newcomb Feeling Fine
5 years agoAtlanta Braves pitcher Sean Newcomb (head) has been feeling fine and slept through the night on Saturday after he was hit in the back of the head with a line drive in his start against the Phillies. The left-hander has a bump on his head and his neck is a little stiff, but it looks like he'll avoid the injured list. Newcomb allowed three hits and two unearned runs while walking two and striking out three in 2 2/3 innings before he left the game. He's rebounded after a slow start to post a 2.38 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 29 K's in 34 innings in 20 outings (four starts) for Atlanta. With Dallas Keuchel set to make his season debut this Friday, Newcomb is expected to return to a relief role, meaning he'll lose most of his fantasy appeal.
