6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea (shoulder) is scheduled to throw his first bullpen session on Tuesday after having left shoulder surgery on Sept. 19, 2018. The 27-year-old had dealt with chronic shoulder impingement the previous two seasons, and it got to the point where he was unable to pitch without pain. There is potential for the left-hander to make an impact for the A's rotation in the second half this season, meaning he's worth a stash in deeper leagues if you have the room. Manaea was 12-9 with a 3.59 ERA and team-high 108 strikeouts in 27 starts in 2018.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
