Sean Manaea To Start Throwing Program This Week

Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea (shoulder) is progressing well and is scheduled to start a throwing program this week. It's great news for Manaea and the A's, but the 27-year-old left-hander will be out at least half of the season due to his left shoulder injury. He had his best year in 2018 before the ailment, going 12-9 with a 3.59 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 6.0 K/9 in 27 starts (160 2/3 innings) and is a firm hold in dynasty/keeper leagues. However, he won't be worth drafting in mixed leagues because of the fact that he'll miss at least the first half of the season.
