1 year agoSan Francisco Giants left-hander Sean Manaea will serve as the starter for a matchup on Tuesday against the Cleveland Guardians. It will be Manaea's seventh start of the year but just his first since May 10. Since then, the 31-year-old southpaw has been serving as a long man out of the bullpen, so he's not going to be a favorable fantasy play despite the above-average matchup. Manaea hasn't been very effective in his first year in the Bay Area, going 5-5 with a 5.00 ERA (4.08 FIP), 1.32 WHIP, one save, 40 walks and 110 strikeouts in 93 1/3 innings over 33 appearances (six starts) in 2023. Jakob Junis or Alex Wood could cover the bulk of the innings on Tuesday if Manaea doesn't make it very far in his start.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
