4 months agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Sean Manaea hit his highest strikeout total of the season in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Twins. Manaea pitched seven innings, allowing just two hits and a walk with 11 strikeouts. The 32-year-old has had a strong season overall, going 7-4 with a 3.50 ERA, an 8.92 K/9 rate, and a 3.66 BB/9 rate in 21 starts and 113 IP. While his performance will sometimes oscillate, Manaea has proven to be a reliable middle-to-back fantasy rotation piece over the past couple of seasons. His next start is slated to be a middling matchup at the Cardinals. Fantasy managers should feel fine starting him in this one given his overall performance this season.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
