Sean Doolittle Throws on Flat Ground Monday
6 years agoWashington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle (toe) was able to throw off flat ground during batting practice on Monday. According to Chelsea Janes, Doolittle said he was fine throwing and thinks his DL stint will be short. The Nats placed Doolittle on the DL due to a pinched nerve in a toe on his left foot. It sounds like the team was being cautious, but there should be a good chance that Doolittle returns following the All-Star break. Kelvin Herrera will continue to get the ninth inning until Doolittle is ready to return.
