Sean Doolittle Throws Off The Mound Tuesday
2 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Sean Doolittle (elbow) threw off the bullpen mound in Philadelphia on Tuesday. It marked the first time he threw off a mound since landing on the injured list with an elbow sprain back in April. The 35-year-old veteran only made six appearances this year prior to landing on the injured list. He was sharp over those six outings, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing one hit, no walks and no runs while striking out six. He will likely be utilized in a setup role once he's back, but it's still a bit unclear what type of timeline he's looking at.
