3 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Sean Doolittle (elbow) has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left elbow sprain. The team made three additional moves on Wednesday, optioning outfielder Donovan Casey to Triple-A and recalling pitchers Sam Clay and Francisco Perez to fill the two vacated roster spots. There's no word yet on the severity of Doolittle's injury. It's unfortunate timing for the 35-year-old as he had been off to a fantastic start to the year. He's pitched 5 1/3 innings this season and he's only allowed one hit without giving up a walk or a run.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
