Seamus Power Might Enjoy Connecticut This Weekend
2 years agoSeamus Power is away from the more technical and rough golf courses for this weekend's Travelers Championship. That is probably good news since he has not had any top 20 results since the Byron Nelson back in May. Since then, it has been two missed cuts in three tournaments for the Irish golfer. That is not a surprise considering Power was repeated punished last week as his approaches were not very good. Overall, Power ranks just 152nd on tour in approaching the green. This week may be less of an issue with a shorter course.

Seamus Power Could Be Intriguing For DFS At Scottsdale
2 months agoSeamus Power surprised maybe himself at Pebble Beach. The Irish golfer could not make a birdie at the Sony Open. He came back to the West Coast and looked great in California. Power was consistent and capped off a nice tournament with a 68-69 weekend. He finished T-17 and while it was not a Top 10, it had to feel good after what happened in Hawaii. 2024 ended strangely for Power much like it began. That included a T-66 at the WM Phoenix Open. In 2025, Power cannot putt. He has lost 0.7 strokes gained to putting (166th). Off the tee is not much better at 160th (-0.466 strokes). The risk is do we get the Power from last week or Power from the first quarter of 2024? Now, that is the question.

Seamus Power Returns To Bermuda With Good Outlook
5 months agoSeamus Power has always liked the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The Irish golfer won the 2022-23 edition of the tournament. Power is on a solid run with four top-15 results in his last five tournaments. He only missed the cut at the Shriners Children's Open. Within those finishes were very good final rounds. Power rebounded from a 72 at the ZOZO Championship to produce a 66 in the last round. Power over the course of the year has been mostly average in advanced metrics, but his Irish days serve him especially well in Bermuda, where the winds expect to blow plenty. Power is among the betting favorites, and a top-10 finish is still in plus money territory.

Seamus Power Looking To Get Back In The Saddle At Zozo Championship
6 months agoUntil last week's missed cut in Vegas, Seamus Power was a name seemingly on the verge of contending for a win with two T11s and a T10 in three of his last four starts. However, a poor second round on Friday saw the Irishman packing his bags early to head across the pond for his first start at this week's Zozo Championship. From a statistical point of view, the 37-year-old stacks up well for Narashino Country Club considering his accuracy off the tee (64.74%: 37th on the PGA Tour) and ability to have incredible approach and putting numbers at times. Given the recent dip in form, taking him at $10,200 on FanDuel carries some level of risk, but the ceiling is a top-10 finish or higher.

Seamus Power Has Potential For A Good Result
9 months agoSeamus Power did not play in The Open Championship. The Irish golfer did not crack the Top 50 at the Genesis Scottish Open. Now, the week off hopefully helps his slightly below average putting. Power ranks 116th in strokes gained to putting at -0.127. Worse, his birdie conversion percentage ranks 124th and his 1.775 putting average comes in at 126th. However, Power does perform better at the slightly lower profile events like the John Deere Classic and the Travelers Championship (both inside the Top 20). Power could benefit from a lighter field in terms of star power this week at the 3M Open.
