Seahawks To Lean On Travis Homer
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team will "lean on" running back Travis Homer in a huge Week 17 divisional matchup against the 49ers. Carroll isn't ready to say how much of a workload Marshawn Lynch will have after having not played all season. The same can be said for Robert Turbin, who was signed off the street on Monday night. Homer has been with the team all season and should get the first crack to carry the load in this tough matchup on Sunday. Homer, a sixth-round rookie, has only eight carries for 52 yards this season, while also adding six receptions for 26 yards. He'll be a desperation RB3/flex or DFS play against one of the best defenses against the run. Beast Mode and Turbin are cool stories, but it's unlikely they'll produce much on limited snaps and touches.
