Seahawks Re-Sign Chris Carson To Two-Year Deal
4 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks re-signed standout running back Chris Carson to a two-year deal worth up to $14.625 million on Friday. The deal includes a third voidable year for salary cap purposes. Carson had a career-high 4.8 yards per carry, 37 catches and nine touchdowns in 12 games for Seattle last year, but the combination of injuries and a platoon with Carlos Hyde cut into his overall rushing attempts (141). It came after he averaged 262.5 carries in 2018 and 2019 while rushing for almost 2,400 yards. The 26-year-old should remain a big part of this run-heavy offense as the team's featured back in 2021. However, another potential platoon and his injury prone ways make Carson more of an RB2 in fantasy.
