The Seattle Seahawks and All-Pro safety Jamal Adams are not close to a contract extension, but it will be interesting to see if the two sides make any progress next week. A new deal for Adams is expected to be for around $16 million per year, but it could become an issue for the Seahawks if he gets to the $17-18 million range because of his sack numbers. He's scheduled to make $9.8 million on his fifth-year option for 2021 after Seattle gave up two first-round picks to acquire him from the New York Jets. The Seahawks are committed to extending one of the best safeties in football, but this could bleed into training camp later this month.
