Seahawks A Lock To Trade Down In First Round?
5 years agoOne AFC general manager said, "Only two sure things in this draft: Joe Burrow to the Bengals and Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider trades down in the first round." Schneider has traded his first-round pick every year in the eight drafts since 2012, including twice in 2017 and 2019. Even if Seattle doesn't trade the No. 27 pick in the first round, they're expected to sign either Jadeveon Clowney or Everson Griffen within the next two weeks to help their pass rush. Clowney was hoping for a deal that paid him around $20 million per season, but his market is ice cold and he'll now likely have to accept a one-year, prove-it deal given his lengthy injury history.
