5 years agoNew York Giants tight end Scott Simonson ran with the first and second team during spring practices when Evan Engram was held out of the sessions. Beat writer Matt Lombardo said Simonson made some impressive grabs during the session, as he challenges for the primary backup job behind Engram. He and undrafted rookie C.J. Conrad give the team nice depth at the position behind the starter. Whomever shows a better ability to block might have the upper hand for the No. 2 job. Engram has been dinged up in the past, so Simonson and Conrad could see regular reps at some point.--Joe Williams
