Scott Oberg Gifted A Win By Offense

Colorado Rockies closer Scott Oberg failed to keep his opponent scoreless in a second-straight non-save situation, but he got bailed out by Nolan Arenado this time. Following a debacle of an outing against the Padres where Oberg allowed four earned in just one inning of work, he allowed the Diamondbacks to score in a tie game in the top of the ninth on Wednesday. Fortunately, Arenado came through with a two-run walk-off blast to instead gift Oberg with the win. Since being named closer a few weeks ago, Oberg has only gotten one save, but that's due to how badly the team has been playing more than anything. Hopefully, this game will be the catalyst to right the ship and Oberg can nail down a few saves before the end of the year.
