The Carolina Hurricanes unloaded goaltender Scott Darling in a trade with the Florida Panthers on Saturday in exchange for goaltender James Reimer. The Panthers also received a sixth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft for their trouble. Florida will buy out the goaltender who was a huge disappointment during his brief stay in Carolina, which ended with him serving as the backup in Charlotte of the AHL. Darling will be placed on unconditional waivers and will become an unrestricted free agent, although it's unlikely he'll find very many nibbles after posting a 15-25-9 record, 3.20 goals-against average and .887 save percentage in two seasons in Carolina.--Daniel DobishRead More News
