1 year agoKansas City Royals reliever Scott Barlow allowed one hit while striking out two over a scoreless inning to earn the save during Thursday's 6-5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. He entered the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. The 30-year-old retired three of four batters he faced to notch his ninth save of the season. Barlow has converted 9-of-10 save opportunities while posting a 3.90 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 39: 13 K: BB across 27 2/3 innings in 2023. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Barlow in all league formats, as he's the primary closer for the Royals.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
