Scott Barlow Earns Save In Second Straight Game
3 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Scott Barlow earned his fourth save of the year and his second save in as many days in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Minnesota Twins. Barlow pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out one. Greg Holland, Barlow's main competitor for saves at this point, pitched the eighth inning for the second straight day. It looks like Barlow is taking over as the team's primary closer for now. Barlow has been fantastic this year, pitching to a 1.99 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with a 34.5% strikeout rate. He is a must-roster player in all fantasy formats at this point.
