Scott Barlow Earns His First Save On Sunday
4 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Scott Barlow picked up his first save of the year on Sunday, closing out a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins. He pitched a perfect ninth inning, allowing no hits or walks while striking out two. The team's primary closer Trevor Rosenthal was unavailable for the game as he closed the team's previous two games. Barlow has had a solid year with a 1.80 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. If something were to happen to Rosenthal, Barlow or Greg Holland would likely be the next man up as the Royals' closer.
