Scooter Gennett Traded To Giants
5 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds have traded second baseman Scooter Gennett to the San Francisco Giants for a player to be named later. Gennett has been excellent over the past two seasons but has been limited to only 20 games this season and has yet to find his groove, something the Giants are hoping a change of scenery will help expedite. The normally durable 29-year-old slashed .310/.357/.490 with 23 home runs, 86 runs and 92 RBI over 154 games last season, and there are many reasons to believe he can turn his season around and contribute when it matters most for fantasy owners. Mixed league owners should keep a sharp eye on him and if you have a roster spot available, taking a flyer wouldn't be the worst idea. Gennett is owned in just 43 percent of Yahoo leagues currently.
