Satoshi Kodaira to Make Second Career PGA Championship Start
6 years agoSatoshi Kodaira is having the best season of his career in 2018. The Japanese golfer has produced two top-35 finishes at the Masters and Open Championship and captured his first PGA Tour win at the RBC Heritage in April. With the notable results, Kodaira has risen all the way up to being the 37th-ranked player in the world. But despite his distinguished ranking, the 28-year-old enters the year's final major at odds of 300/1, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook. Kodaira is ranked 27th compared to the field in his last 50 rounds in fairways gained, but it is hard to make a case for the one-time PGA Tour winner using any other statistical narrative.
