Satoshi Kodaira Makes Surprising Cut at Carnoustie
6 years agoSatoshi Kodaira entered Carnoustie in terrible form. The 36th-ranked golfer in the world had missed six of his last seven worldwide cuts but was able to put together a solid one-over par at the Open Championship to finish in a share of 35th place. Despite the terrible run of golf Kodaira has been displaying, he has arguably had the best season of his career. The 28-year-old has made two of his three cuts during Major events, and he was even able to capture his first PGA Tour title at the RBC Heritage in mid-April. Still, though, Kodaira can be viewed as nothing more than a random shot in the dark contrarian option going forward and even that may be giving him too much credit.
