Saquon Barkley Sits Out Tuesday
6 years agoNew York Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) did not practice on Tuesday as he deals with a hamstring injury. He suffered a mild strain of his left hamstring while catching a pass in the preseason opener last Thursday. The second overall pick of the draft should be fine, and he looked electric in his limited playing time last week. Head coach Pat Shurmur said Barkley is day-to-day and promised to be "smart with him" as the week progresses. Barkley is the unquestioned first overall pick in rookie-only drafts and should be taken as an RB1 in redraft leagues, too. Don't be surprised if the Giants hold him out of the preseason game this week against the Lions.
