5 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley said he's not too worried about a new contract when asked about Panthers star running back Christian McCaffrey's four-year, $64 million deal. "I’m a big believer in taking care of the little things first. I’m going to be the best player and leader I can be. If I take care of that, the rest will take care of itself," Barkley said. Barkley was the second overall pick in the 2018 draft and was the Offensive Rookie of the Year that season. The 23-year-old battled through injuries last year in 13 games, but he still had 1,003 rushing yards and six touchdowns while adding 52 receptions for 438 yards and two more scores.
