Sandy Alcantara Throws Seven Strong Innings On Wednesday
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara earned a win and a quality start on Wednesday, throwing seven innings. He allowed just two runs on five hits while striking out four and not allowing a walk. It was Alcantara's first win of the season as he improved to 1-2 and lowered his ERA to 3.19. He threw just 93 pitches, but with a comfortable 6-2 lead, the Marlins let their bullpen pitch the last two frames. Alcantara has been very good this year and should continue inducing weak contact from opposing hitters.
