Sandy Alcantara Struggles Through Six Innings On Thursday
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara wasn't at his best on Thursday, but he was able to last through six innings of work. He allowed six runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out four. Alcantara tossed an even 100 pitches, 64 for strikes. He wasn't close to at his best, but errors by the Marlins fielders didn't really help his case. Alcantara's ERA sits at 3.97, and he'll likely face the Red Sox his next time out.
