Sandy Alcantara Resumes Throwing
6 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara (armpit) resumed throwing Tuesday for the first time since landing on the disabled list with a right axillary infection. MLB.com's No. 2 prospect in Miami pitched five strong innings for a win in his first MLB start on June 29, but it's unclear if he'll return to the rotation when he's healthy or if he'll go back to the minors for more seasoning. The young starter has a lot of upside and should at least be stashed in dynasty leagues for the time being.
