Sandy Alcantara Makes First Career Start Friday
Sandy Alcantara will make his MLB debut Friday against the N.Y. Mets. Alcantara was the major piece in the Marcell Ozuna to St. Louis trade. He was 5-3 with a 3.71 ERA in 14 starts (85 innings) for Triple-A New Orleans. He had 64 strikeouts. Alcantara will face a Mets lineup that is awful right now and he will be pitching at Marlins Park, a pitchers park. In fact, Marlins park is third lowest in runs scored this year.
