Sandy Alcantara Gets Off To A Rough Start
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara got off to a rough start for the second half in his start in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader. Alcantara lasted just three innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out three. He didn't give up a ton of hard contact, but the Phillies hitters were finding grass with many of their swings. Alcantara's ERA rose to 3.23 and it took him 80 pitches (50 strikes) to get just the 12 outs.
