Sam Stevens In Excellent Form Ahead Of John Deere Classic
5 months agoSam Stevens heads to TPC Deere Run in arguably the best form of his young PGA Tour career. The 27-year-old Oklahoma State alum has rattled off four finishes inside of the top 10 in his last seven starts, with his best finish being a runner-up showing at the Korn Ferry Tour's Wichita Open two weeks ago. He continued to impress last week with a T10 finish in a comparable birdie-fest, gaining 2.4 strokes ball-striking and 5.8 strokes with his flat stick, the latter of which happened to be the second-best putting performance of his two-year Tour career. Stevens' length off the tee should lend itself to plenty of scoring opportunities, particularly on the par-fives and drivable par-fours. Despite a missed cut in his only start at this event last year, fantasy managers should covet the recent form and have every reason to believe Stevens can contend in this year's iteration.
