Sam Darnold Potential QB1 Option In Week 5

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold (knee) has been a top-nine fantasy QB in each of the past three weeks and faces a tough challenge in Week 5 against a stout New York Jets defense. The Jets have allowed the second-fewest passing yards and third-fewest passing touchdowns through four weeks of the season. That is likely due to the quality of quarterbacks New York has played against, as they are coming off games against Will Levis, Jacoby Brissett, and Bo Nix. Darnold leads the league in passing scores despite being 24th in the NFL in passing attempts in the second half of games so far, and despite appearing on the injury report with his knee, he has been a full participant in practice this week. He could be set for a productive volume game if the Jets remain competitive against an undefeated Minnesota team.
